You may find times where your inbox has too many items to sort through, slows down, or has reached a limit set by your organization. In these situations, it is a good idea to clear space in your mailbox by cleaning up some items.
- Log into your webmail platform (owa.onenet.co.nz or mail.office365.com) from a web browser on your phone or computer.
- Click Settings on the top right, then Mail.
- Select Clean up mailbox on the navigation bar on the left. For each of Deleted Items, Sent Items, Inbox, and Archive, click the drop down arrow and delete the emails from the time period of your choosing.
- This will clear items from the specified folder older than a certain date. Note that these will be deleted and may not be able to be recovered.
It is also worth noting, to check your mailbox size, you can:
- Click Settings on the top right, then Mail.
- Then on the left select General, and My Account to see your size in the bottom right.
