What are "Relaying Denied" emails?

Emails classified as "Relaying Denied" are unable to be delivered as they are rejected by the recipient server.

If you see this when sending emails out, then it would be best to double check the spelling of the address you are sending to, or to contact the recipient by some other method to see why your message was rejected.

If this is happening when emails are being sent to you, it may indicate that the domain has not yet been made live in our systems and you should contact our support team to double check the setup. As a reminder, when first setting up emails with OneNet you must let our support team know once your DNS records have been changed over, so we can make your domain live.

If you would like further assistance, please forward the "Message Digest" email, which includes the details of the "Relaying Denied" email in question, to servicedesk@onenet.co.nz
