What are my POP or IMAP Settings?

Note: If you are unsure if you need to use these settings, please get in touch with our support team and let us know what you want to accomplish. We will be able to recommend the best approach.

Warnings

Wherever possible, we do not recommend this setup and would strongly recommend setting these up as Exchange accounts instead.

Setting up POP or IMAP

If you do require POP or IMAP it may be possible provided your client can connect using a secure connection (SSL). Note that these must also be enabled for each user's Mailbox Plan. This can be configured through the OneNet Control Panel.

Settings are as follows:

IMAP

  • Incoming mail server: owa.onenet.co.nz
  • TCP Port: 993
  • Encryption: SSL

POP

  • Incoming mail server: owa.onenet.co.nz
  • TCP Port: 995
  • Encryption: SSL

Both methods will require a username and password. This should be configured to use your Primary email address and password.

Note: An outgoing SMTP server will also need to be specified. This will need to be set to the SMTP server address of your ISP. Alternatively, you can use OneNet's SMTP server settings.
